wrapup

  • What were your favorite discoveries or exercises on this learning journey? I am in the process of creating a cookbook with family and friends and the information I gained through Discover 2.0 will be very beneficial to me. The program I am using resembles google docs, but I am the only person that can actually make changes to the program. Friends and relatives are able to add recipes, etc to the sight. The google docs video gave me a good explanation of how this works.

  • How has this program assisted or affected your lifelong learning goals? This program has given me more confidence. I know very little about computers which has been a roadblock when I would love to explore more and make use of programs that are available to me. I hope my newfound confidence and curiosity will lead me to more discoveries.

  • Were there any take-aways or unexpected outcomes from this program that surprised you? Probably, but I can't think of any right now.

  • What could we do differently to improve upon this program’s format or concept? Nothing that I can think of.
  • Feel free to write about whatever else comes to mind. Thank you!

wiki

http://fvrldiscover.blogspot.com/2007/11/item-16-wikis.html
I will need to become more familiar with the workings of the wiki because we use it to hold any new instructions or notes where instructions are updated, etc. This will be helpful to me

There is so much sarcasm I love it! Did you know there is a wolverine thriving in Tahoe? Who'da guessed it? Cute picture of the vicious little animal. I'm tagging this one!

more about blogging

http://www.blogger.com/post-create.g?blogID=5226301181358544457

Still don't know if I'm doing this right. I am unsure if I am pasting the right url in each post and I think I need to be more creative in blogging about the information I am reading, but at this time of day my creativity is out the window...

getting started

http://fvrldiscover-about.blogspot.com/
I'm trying to catch up on some of the things I didn't blog on. I have a little more knowledge of this program now than if I had written the blog after I finished reading "getting started".

I had some problems getting my pictures sent over from my e-mail account. I didn't realize just HOW ignorant I am about computers!

I just signed up for syndic8.com and searched feeds and found a librarians blog that actually sounded a little familiar.

goodread and librarything

I did both of these and will probably enjoy librarything but I am not so sure about how useful goodreads will be to me.

I played wordshoot and my score at the end was 12.960. I don't play games on the computer and when the directions said to type the word by the enemy I did just that and couldn't figure out why my score was zero?! I GET it now!

BLOGLINES

I find that I am beginning to understand this program a little better each time I work on this program. Maybe it's just I am becoming a little more confident and explore a little more.

Stella my second pajama experiment

This is my little Stella. She arrived with my son and daughter-in-law from China last year. She was very shy in the beginning, but she has since come out of her shyness. Saturday night at my granddaughter, Caitlin's 1st birthday party Stella performed her first rendition of pilates. It was hilarious and though the crowd was large she was not a bit frightened. Grandchildren keep you feeling young!
